What are effective ways to start an online business?

Author: I’m a young college graduate who is capable with computers and is looking to get into online business ventures (online store, Ebay business, distribution, advertising etc…) to supplement my other job. I don’t know whether its best to do something different and new, or follow a mold proven to work as a startup. Where can I find the best research on this subject? Also, if anyone out there has any first hand experience/advice I am more than willing to listen. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to score.org they have counselors there who really know what they are talking about. Not only will they help you get your business started, they will help you get grants to start it and be there with you to make sure you are successful. SCORE counselors really want entreprenuers to do well in their business ventures. I have a friend who is starting up a business, they helped her get well over what she needed to get started with her business and are still helping her. Also Sba.org has different resources for you. To officially list your business as a business go to your government site and list it…it should be free at least it is in the state of indiana.
