haha my friend bought this and we played it for ages. not fun… not interesting. the voice acting is about the only good thing because you laugh your off at the shittyness.
i mean the first thing u do when you play new games is press all the buttons to find out the controls. as soon as i pressed A to watch him jump i realized how fail this is. its like gravity is over 9000 to what it is on earth its just… UH! fuck.

Anyway, I guess to each his own. I quite enjoyed the game but I can see why it wasn’t popular. I just didn’t think it would be hated to this extent.

Not quite. There the government want a war with night walkers so they have an excuse to destroy them all while the night walkers wish to turn the world into night walkers. However, the head night walkers have peaceful means. The story itself is actually really good, its the main thing that kept me playing. The dialogue isn’t perfect but its by no means bad and there are some genuinely good plot twists.

As far as I’m aware through videos, playing some of the levels on rental, and reading – Its a pastiche of typical “the government is evil” stories – attempting to redo Metal Gear, then the character takes a fashion tip from Splinter Cell and has a dark past that according to reviews is barely described or is mentioned scarcely, the Vampires are only slightly better than Twilight Sparklepires, and the game is not even remotely fun after a while (this I know personally). And the dialogue is cliche

Underrated game. I completed it and loved it, the first few levels sucked but it really picks up half way through and the story is surprisingly good. Be patient and you can have some fun with Vampire Rain.

Nice review. Never played Splinter Cell, but I thought the gameplay was stolen from something. That dark ally scene was so predictable & a typical cliche. And yes, we played & beat it. it took us like 1 WEEK!!!!! Thankfully, my bros friend let us borrow it (shame on him for buying it). This would’ve better off as a movie, not a game.

I agree. The gameplay from what I see here kind of makes sense too. That enemy encounters are your worst nightmare and that the safest way to kill a vampire/zombie/whatever is from long distance and narrow straightaways. But the gameplay just seems too dull and unforgiving from what I see.

This is one of those games that upsets me for it’s suckiness. Because it’s an awesome concept, and the story actually sounds cool, but it’s ruined by gameplay. It’s not like movie tie in games or generic bad shooters and such. The concept sounded cool.
