Starting a business and not sure how to move transactions from personal account to business account?

Author: I have spent several thousands of dollars on a new business (Recording studio), and I’ve made those purchases in my personal checking account. Now, I am starting a new business account to keep things separate, but is there some way to "move" those identified business transactions to the new account?
Get your business accounts opened. Then transfer money into the business checking account.
Pick your start date (date you "opened" for business). Your previous expenses are "startup" costs and are mostly deductible over several years, not in your first year of business. So keep track of them, but they don’t really feed into your new business accounts.

How can I come up with some great ideas for starting a business?
A small business to begin with of course…
I find that one of the most challenging things to starting a business is coming up with an idea with the kind of business you want to have. This is not easy for me.
What are some things/ideas/places you could recommend to me for starting a business? One of my friends tells me to identify a local need within your community and do some research on it and go from there? What are your thoughts about starting an online business? Can I have a business that has 0% investment or do I have to initially put some money in?
Ideas/thoughts/insight on how I can come up with ideas for a small business would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance for your shared knowledge.
First look at what you have to offer in the way of skills. What do you know how to do, why would someone pay you to do that?
Some business are basically buying a job like cleaning office buildings or mowing lawns or any of hundreds of service businesses.
I would probably start a CPA firm but I have been a CPA and could get my license in a couple of weeks if I tried. My nephew bought an auto repair shop but he is a mechanic.
Finding a local need is a great idea, here it is hard to get anyone to put in side sewers, remodel anything they don’t even want to show up to do bids. One nephew has a young man that is only 22 and won’t share him until he is done having him remodel his kitchen and bathroom, I want him for two bathrooms next, that young man will be working as much as he can stand for life.
Does anyone know of a website that I can go to for starting my own small business?

so much on the internet is inaccurate and quite possibly a scam. if you know what you want to do, go to your local library and do some research. also, go to your local govt. offices and BBB, as they will have info on how to start a small business in the area where you live.
I’m just starting a new business, How do I get me name out there?
I’m a new massage therapist and I was wondering how I can go about getting people to know that I’m there. I don’t have a ton of money (see just started business) so TV and other expensive ads are out of my reach. Plus I don’t have the credit needed to pull out a loan. HEEEEELLLLPPP!

Starting an online entertainment business online can u help?
I am planning on starting an entertainment(mainly tarot and astrology readings) business and will be charging clients a fee of less that 20 bucks. What is the first thing that I MUST do in order to start a business like this online? I need it to be 100% legal and not a scam. I am honest and would not like to be labeled a Scam artist! Thx in advance.
I don’t know anything about tarot and astrology but I started an online business not so long ago and the main issues were:
1. Building a website that works intuitively
2. Marketing the website so that the right people now about it so I can make sales
3. Apart from that, to make it legal you need a legal entity
I used a mob called Business Switch in Sydney and they were really helpful in guiding me through the important issues (there are quite a few) when starting a business. They also do it for a fixed price which was good because you hear lots of stories of people getting ripped off when starting a business.

I need help starting my own small business. How do you get started?
I’m planning on starting my own business and would like info on how to run one. I’m planning on opening a pet store in my local area and I need info on how to get started. Are there any books you recommend? Any advice you could give on pricing, hours of operation, best locations, etc? I’ve never ran a business before but I like a challenge. There is only 1 other in the area. Does anyone have any information on obtaining grants to start a business? What keeps you in business? ANY info would be greatly appreciated.
I do not believe that your question can be answered here. There is too much info that can be giving. Best advise I can give you is to take a small business class at your local community college. Depending on tuition, the cost of the class should run about $300 and you don’t have to sign up for a degree. This class should give you enough information about everything that you mentioned plus more. I will give some links that will help you get started. Please consider calling your local SBA. Ask lots of questions and if un answered…ask who can.

Starting business traveling the country doing trade shows, how to register business name?
I just started a business and I travel around the country doing events and trade shows. I created a business name however I’m unsure of how I should register it. I live in pa so do I register just in pennsylvania or should I register it through the federal tradmark database?
Although you travel throughout the U.S., your business’s home base is in Pennsylvania, so that’s the state where you will register your business.
You will only register your business name as a trademark if you wish to protect the name against anyone else who may select the name for their business while operating in any state within the U.S.
