How would i financially set up a Sonic franchise? Would it be a good investment in Massachusetts ?

My friends and I want to start up a Sonic franchise in Massachusetts when we graduate college in
May. I know it costs about a million to start up and we need ways to to invest into this idea since we’re poor college students we just don’t know the best way to start up this franchise financially

Any suggestions????

The Small Business Administration issues loans for start-up companies. You’ll have to contact Sonic regarding their product. Massachusetts won’t care if you set up shop, as long as you do it legally. Contact the Massachusetts Secretary of State to incorporate.
And choose a good location where you’re most apt to sell this product, like close by a school campus.

Can you have 2 or more players start a franchise mode in MLB 2K9?

Me and my friend want to start a MLB 2K9 franchise mode for the Wii and I don’t know how to. (We’d want to have 2 seperate player owned teams and 28 CPU teams). I think I may need 2 profiles but I don’t know how to make a second.
Thanks
Whoops probably the wrong section but if you know please answer.

You could in 2K8 for PS3 and I can’t understand why they would downgrade that. If you want to get another baseball game wait til’ "the show" releases their next game. Btw baseball games like 2K8 suck in general and I heard they are horrific for the WII.

How expensive is it to open a franchise?

I would like to open a Boston Market or Kinkos franchise. How expensive is it to open a franchise and what is the process?

You contact the company about their franchise opportunities and ask if they will send you a packet describing it. Franchises are all different, some are turnkey operations where they find the location build the store put in the equipment train you and then give you the key. Others are much less helpful and therefore cheaper. The ones you mentioned are probably pretty expensive, probably at least $100,000 cash required and they finance the rest. But you will never know until you contact them.

Good Luck.

How do I go about buying into a franchise that is dependable and safe?

We live in a rural part of the state, with several small towns near by. We are open to any type of franchise except fast food hamburgers. Too many of those already. Anyone with experience and success out there that can make some good suggestions?

If it were that dependable and safe everyone would do it.

Having said that, I talked about this with a guy who dealt with franchisees for a major company. He had people who were successful and people who bombed. The winners were the ones that took it on as a job. The losers were ones who were really into being "the boss" and would hire a high school kid to be the manager and take vacations whenever they wanted because there was nobody to tell them they couldn’t. Look for two things. Will they buy it back? Expect the answer to be "yes, with a certain number of months notice". Will they give you an exclusive territory? A certain national sub shop doesn’t and, if you’re doing well, will put another one down the road from you and offer to let you buy it, thus either halving your sales or doubling your costs.

Why would someone start their own business instead of franchise?

Why I ask this question…Well because I am planning a business in restaurant like sports bar and grill type. Well would it be better to franchise from another business that is simular or start your own from scratch. Also what about cost. Would the cost of starting your own be simular for a franchise.

You have to pay for the franchise and undergo quite a bit of scrutiny from that chain. They will do quite a bit of checking before allowing you to purchase a franchise and want to know how much money is in your wallet.

Unless you are the only one in town a restaurant is not a thing to be considering right now anyway.
