What benefits do you get by becoming a Creative Memories Consultant?

I have a friend who has almost been talked into becoming a consultant to earn a bit of extra money. I think she would be very good at it. Is it a good money earner, what do you get when you are a consultant?

I believe you get a 30% discount/Commission on their products. Not sure what you get as for commission for their downline, or what you have to acheieve in order to get that. I do know they have extremely high quotas that you have to meet per quarter (like $200 retail or more). Many of the consultants I know ended up buying for themselves and having it in their garage and lost a bunch of money when they had to sell it after they had been deactivated.

Nice products..but unless you’re in an area where there’s few Creative Memories consultants..or few people into scrapbooking, it may be a tough go.

Better to look at the other companies out there and what their compensation plans are and minimums!!!

What qualifications are required to become a consultant?

I want to be a consultant in a hospital when i am older. What are the qualifications needed?
Also what are the qualifications needed to be a social care worker?

To answer your question…

A Vermont dairy farmer was herding his cows in a remote pasture when suddenly brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the farmer "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"

The farmer looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, Why not?"

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his AT&T cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses a MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech,miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and finally turns to the farmer and says, "You have exactly 1586 cows and calves."

"That’s right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says the farmer. He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then the farmer says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"

"You’re a consultant ." says the farmer.

"Wow! That’s correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"

"No guessing required." answered the farmer. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked; and you don’t know anything about my business…….. Now give me back my dog."

Where would I find a recruitment consultant who can get me a job in dubai?

My partner has been offered a job in Dubai and I am planning on going with him, however, I work in the social care system, and am aware that there is no such thing in Dubai. I have many transferable skills (I think!) and am having trouble identifying a recruitment consultant who would be able to help me find a job in dubai! Ideally I would like to be able to speak with this person.

Try having a look on www.emiratesvillage.com
Its a site that has many jobs listed where you can contact the employer directly.
You can also submit your details for employers to look at.
and best of all, its all FREE.

is switching over to a career as a erp consultant suitable for a guy like me who has around 10yrs work exp?

iam a mechanical engineer with around 10 yrs experience in marketing, sales ,service of pumping equipment with matured competency in designing and implementing end-to-end fluid handling applications.Iam planning to give my career a new turn by becoming an ERP consultant in the logistics modules of ERP.Iam a quick learner and a multi-faceted personality with demonstrated ability in accomplishing new and challenging tasks.Having been exposed to a wide spectrum of industries in the key area of fluid handling projects,is it worthwhile for me to become an erp consultant?

It is definitely worth while if you can somehow get your foot into the door. Finding someone who is willing to hire you as a functional ERP consultant will be difficult if you don’t have any experience in ERP implementation. If you can happen to work for a company who is considering implementing an ERP solution, you will be a lucky person.

Best wishes.

What do you tell a recruitment consultant when you are asked if you are registered with any other consultancy?

I would have thought you should tell them that you have but not disclose their identities. Telling them that you have could create a competitive atmosphere which could work to your advantage and not disclosing the other consultants’ identity will not put the consultant you are talking to, on the back foot, if the other consultants’ are more established and capable. Am I right or wrong?

I suggest the truth
