I’ve received a few offers for business opportunities with company based out of the U.S. and would like to check out these companies, before I decieded to work for them.

It depends.. I would check at scam.com and ripoffreport.com as a starting place.

If they have ANY mention of you handling money, transferring money, needing a bank account in order to work, etc, just RUN and don’t bother looking any further.

Paul Rogers (biography):

Chief Executive Officer, Lifemax, Inc.
In 1998, Mr. Rogers helped create NuEWorld.com, one of the first e-commerce Network Marketing companies in the United States. like any man out there i’ve grown tired of my job . i work at a junk yard and its gotten to the point where i actualy say that"I Know CARS"inside and outside imports and domestics. im 20 years old and a sorry to say "dropout" i know now an education is the way to go,but i have to do something. I don’t have the funds to go to college but i will though .but for now im stuck in a rute.I’m going to be a father real soon and the job I have is ok paying but too …lets say tolerable. I’ve gotten to the stage where its a routine,it being taking cars apart (done differently then in Dirty Jobs)WE’LL my question is : i have an idea there has been a big uproar you can say of cookie cutter housing’s in and around my town and neighboring town’s should i start a at home auto repair service. you know the type where a mechanic goes to your home . I don’t know if theirs any one out there with this type of employment and if i could can i get some honest advice and not just abuse and rude comments

I commend your initiative but consider:
1) You’ll have to own and carry most every automotive tool feasible. Do you own the tools? Have you a vehicle to accomodate the tools and equipment?
2) How will you procure parts? Will you have to pack-up all your tools, you can’t leave them in the driveway, and drive to the nearest parts store? Will you order them and have them delivered? How long will that take? Do you have credit with the parts store? Or, will you carry $$$?
3) Is the weather an issue where you live? Can you, do you want to, perform auto repairs on a vehicle parked in 12" of snow – in 10 degree wind chill?
4) You’ll need professional insurance to cover yourself and your customers. It may be hard to find and expensive.

Perhaps you should consider limiting your scope of repairs; e.g. oil changes, windshield replacement, dent and scrape repair, etc. This will narrow your need for tools and all related. There are companies already in this niche market so familiarize yourself with what exists and find your own niche.

I’m not saying you need a formal business plan but you must define what-it-is you’re wanting to do and be able to do it profitably. And bear in mind that "word-of-mouth" will be either your best advertisement or your worst nightmare.
