Seriously if you want to start a business selling stuff without spending any money at all your best bet may be Ebay and some of the other auction sites. Depending on your niche there may also be an auction or classified site that is very specific to the market you want to target so some searching is in order.

Does anybody have a work at home business that truly supports your family?
I need to find a work from home business that I can take with me wherever I go. I want to move out of California, but I need to take work with me in case I cannot find work where I want to go. I don’t want to get rich, and I don’t want to sell/call people. What works and why does it work for you?
Steph, even if you are a professional working out of your living room, you just NEED to sell. Essentially no selling means no business and subsequently no income – even if you work in any employment sector you are actually selling your time – which in my opinion and the opinion of successful business people, brings out the lowest return.
There is definitely an answer to address your question should you be willing to get out of the stigma about home business and selling/calling people. I am here to give you more information should you be able to communicate with me personally.
How can a home-based business owner hire affordable help?
I’m a home-based business owner and I also work full-time for my night shift job. Because of my schedule, I need to hire a couple of part-time people to help with administrative tasks. I’ve had many inquiries from people but they want to be paid cash (under the table). However I don’t want to get in trouble with Revenue Canada because of not taking the tax deductions off. But I don’t know how to calculate payroll deductions. Any suggestions from anyone? My family and friends don’t live nearby and they aren’t able to help me.
you could write them a check in their name, get them to sign it, pay them in cash and keep the check and deposit it yourself.
This way it shows the taxes and your doing nothing wrong

What benefits do you get by becoming a Creative Memories Consultant?
I have a friend who has almost been talked into becoming a consultant to earn a bit of extra money. I think she would be very good at it. Is it a good money earner, what do you get when you are a consultant?
I believe you get a 30% discount/Commission on their products. Not sure what you get as for commission for their downline, or what you have to acheieve in order to get that. I do know they have extremely high quotas that you have to meet per quarter (like $200 retail or more). Many of the consultants I know ended up buying for themselves and having it in their garage and lost a bunch of money when they had to sell it after they had been deactivated.
Nice products..but unless you’re in an area where there’s few Creative Memories consultants..or few people into scrapbooking, it may be a tough go.
Better to look at the other companies out there and what their compensation plans are and minimums!!!
Is a business plan mandatory for a small scale job that makes extra money?
I will be starting a small custom apperal and accessory business. I won’t be needing loans or investors. I will be purchasing cards and conducting consultations. I also expect income tax for losses, but is a long wordy plan necessary?
Not, it is not. However a plan would be great so you know where you are headed and can track your progress to make sure you are on track.
